Soundwave Outage (RESOLVED)

0Unfortunately this weekend, soundwave's file system became corrupted and was unrecoverable. It is currently out of service and is in the midst of being restored from one of our backups. The outage happened at approximately 2am CST and our late backup was at 1am CST, so there should be little to no lost data. We sincerely apologize for the lengthy downtime, but unfortunately there is little we can do while we wait for the data to be restored.

There appears to be issues with our backup software's (a third party application) transfer speeds as its restoring data at 1/20th the normal speed. Since this server has over 200GB of data, its taking a lot longer to restore than expected. Unfortunately because of how the data is encrypted for security reasons and handled for quick backup, there is no other known option for restoring the data. Were actively working with our backup software vendor to speed things up, but unfortunately they were not available until this morning.

Please do not hesitate to contact the billing department if your hosting account resides on this server and we will be glad to credit your account for a weeks worth of service. Again, we do apologize for outage and we appreciate your patience while we work fast as possible to get this server back online.

EDIT: Server and accounts have been restored. If you do find any issues with your hosting account, please open a ticket with our support department and we will make sure it gets resolved right away.

UPDATE: While all accounts have been restored and it appears that all web sites are working correctly, many users are experiencing issues with email, specifically IMAP and password issues. While we are working on fixing the IMAP issue, we highly recommend that you simply reset your email addresses password in order to correct that issue. We will update this announcement once the IMAP issue is resolved.

UPDATE: All known issues have been resolved.
